When did life become something that was only worth living on the weekends?
I just came back from an absolutely dreamy vacation in Paris with one of my best friends, and we freaking LIVED life to the fullest.
We ate the most abundantly gorgeous food.
We walked miles and miles every day.
We enjoyed simple magical streets and insanely intricate art.
We explored unique neighborhoods and monuments.
We laughed, ooh'd, aah'd, and reveled in the magic of the city.
And it was indeed magical!!
Being in Paris, one of my favorite cities where I feel so abundant and high vibe, felt absolutely incredible.
So then coming back to "normal life" felt weird...almost dull.
I had just spent 4 jam-packed days LIVING life to the fullest, and now I'm just expected to go back to work and sit in front of my computer for hours on end?? Excusez-moi?!
Now obviously I work for myself (and I'm truly obsessed with what I do), so I should get to choose what my day-to-day looks like,
but society paints a very clear image of what a "productive" career should look like: grinding and hustling M-F so you can enjoy your weekends.
I don't know about you, but I do NOT want to only LIVE on 2 out of the 7 days of the week!
Now again, I recognize that I have a unique situation where I can do literally whatever I want on any day of the week because I'm the boss 😋...but I don't.
Why is that??
I think it's due to this societal conditioning of "productivity" that is very much based on masculine (yang) energy.
(P.S. Feminine and masculine energy don't have much to do with gender. It's more about the dichotomy between yin and yang, moon and sun energy.)
But my truth - in my intuition, heart, and essence - is:
When I live life DAILY and fully embrace and love and enjoy all that this world has to offer, THAT is when I'll be able to make the biggest impact, serve the most people, be the happiest, and spread my light.
Does that truth resonate with you?
Because if it does, then I invite us all to commit to LIVING DAILY!
(Yes, even if you work a 9-5 or 8-6 or 7-7 job with a boss.)
This is what that looks like for me:
Fully enjoying my morning routine without rushing
Putting time and effort and magic into making my morning matcha and letting it be a ritual
Scheduling in pool and beach time - like in the middle of the day!
Lighting my fave candles during the day and not saving them for chill TV time at night (although they can be lit then too!)
Reading a book for pleasure in the middle of the day (or a fun, non-educational podcast)
Making weeknight plans with friends
Planning more fun trips to EXPLORE this gorgeous Earth
Exploring my city!! Seeing the magic that's all around me
Living life - fully embracing it ON PURPOSE - will look different for all of us, and these mindful moments of joy and presence can happen in hours at the beach or in just a few minutes of dancing and listening to music between meetings!
So, what will LIVING LIFE DAILY look like for you?
If this resonates, please share your answers with me via DM! I'm feeling super lit up about this topic, so I'd love to chat about it with you!
